Join together in community to boost your resilience, and develop the tools and habits to thrive
Description
We create stronger schools and resilient students when we build the resilience of adults. With burnout and stress levels increasing, research on resilience provides a great deal of hope: We can learn strategies to build our ability to respond to adversity. This workshop teaches the highest leverage strategies that support educators to build their resilience and offers an opportunity to practice them immediately. Participants reflect on their own resilience, and then learn a variety of methods to boost the resilience of those they coach, lead and support. The content of the workshop builds on the material in Elena’s book, Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators and The Onward Workbook, and introduces tools and resources that can help you and your communities thrive.

What people say
Cultivating resilience has given me a fresh, renewed focus on noticing my own habits, responses, values, and perspectives and how these things impact my emotional state, which in turn impacts others. Showing up with an awareness of self is crucial to showing up for others and engaging in the work of equity. Speaking of engaging, this course was hands down the most engaging online course I have taken.
Michael W.
The specific strategies offered, the live sessions with breakout room discussions, and the expectation of self-reflection made this such a powerful learning experience. There was personal and professional growth as well as a collection of resources and strategies that I can use to support my teachers.
